Kathy Lynott

Born in Marquette, Michigan in 1978, Kathy Lynott is a mixed media artist and creative entrepreneur. Upon receiving her her BS in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2010, Lynott continued to pursue her artistic dreams in her spare time by attending art shows with her sister and building a web page with MNArtists.org. Lynott has shown her work in the US at solo shows at the Blue Moon Cafe, Caffetto in Minneapolis, Minnesota and an Open Studio event at Artspace Everett Lofts. She also participated in two group shows at The Old Orchard Gallery in Webster Groves, Missouri and the gallery at the Syndicate Building in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Her work communicates a joy in the process of art-making so that the product is a symptom of the creative process.

Lynott launched her handmade art business, Frivolous Notions, in 2013. You can find her painted tiles and other handmade items right here on this page. To see Lynott's work in person at one of her open studio events, stay up to date by liking Frivolous Notions on Facebook.
