Minnesota Organizations

- Springboard for the Arts' mission is to cultivate a vibrant arts community by connecting artists with the skills, contacts, information and services they need to make a living and a life

- The Minnesota State Arts Board is a state agency that stimulates and encourages the creation, performance, and appreciation of the arts in the state.

- A statewide arts advocacy organization that organizes the arts community to lobby the Minnesota State Legislature and Congress.

- The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits informs, promotes, connects and strengthens individual nonprofits and the nonprofit sector.

- This ammendment is about preserving our way of life in Minnesota. Minnesota
has a long and proud tradition and history of arts and culture. Arts
and cultural education are critical not only to our children's future
but also to our state's economic well-being. Like our natural
resources, our states cultural resources are an important part of our
tourism industry and our great Minnesota quality of life.
National Organizations
- National Endowment for the Arts: www.arts.gov
- The National Endowment for the Arts is a public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to al Americans; and providing leadership in arts education. Established by Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government, the Endowment is the nation's largest annual funder of the arts, bringing great art to all 50 states, including rural areas, inner cities, and military bases.

- Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. With 45 years of service, we are dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
- Community Arts Network: www.communityarts.net
- The Community Arts Network (CAN) is a portal to the field of community
arts, providing news, documentation, theoretical writing,
communications, research and educational information. Headquartered at
its Web site on the Internet, CAN is a program of Art in the Public
Interest (API), a nonprofit organization based in North Carolina.

- Minnesota Council on Foundations, a community of grantmakers,
works actively to strengthen and expand philanthropy and improve the
vitality and health of our communities. The Council is a regional
membership association of family and private foundations, community
and other public foundations, and corporate foundations and giving
programs.

- Grantmakers in the Arts is a membership organization whose trade is discourse on ideas about arts philanthropy within a diverse community of grantmakers.

- The McKnight Foundation, a Minnesota-based private philanthropy organization seeks to improve the quality of life for present and future generations.
