Artspace is pleased to be working with the Council on Culture and Arts for Tallahassee/Leon County (COCA) on their Arts on Gaines project. This exciting project has the support of the city of Tallahassee, and was the recipient of a generous $375,000 grant from the Knight foundation, making the next phases of work possible.
The project calls for up to 55 units of affordable housing where creative individuals may live and work. The project concept also includes studio rental space for performing and visual artists as well as space for arts and cultural organizations and creative businesses. If all continues to progress well, project completion is estimated for late 2010.
